If you are here on my blog, reading this article, more than likely you are preparing to conquer the beautiful beast known as the "NCLEX"--maybe for the first time or maybe not. You've probably spent a lot of time reading about what other people have to go through preparing for it and in some ways, comforting yourself, while in other ways, becoming even more terrified to walk into that testing center because you feel like what you've learned and studied for is not enough. The information can just be so overwhelming that you wouldn't even know where to start.
There will always be "doubts" and "what ifs?" especially if you are really nervous...but if we look at the brighter side of things, the NCLEX is the last step towards our goal of becoming a nurse. I think, you will agree with me when I say that Nursing school alone is really tough and passing the boards means you have jumped through all the hoops and you're finally seeing the light at the end of that tunnel-- A pretty awesome feeling, right?

The National Council of State Board of Nursing had a conference last September 25, 2017 and guess what? Angelica was there and according to her, she "strives to deliver the most updated lectures to match the needs of our students to successfully pass the NCLEX and the best way to know it is to be on top of it and to spend time with the body that creates the exam."--Pretty amazing, right?
and not just that.... She also had the opportunity to be with Dr. Hong (whose forte is psychometrics and how exam scores are evaluated) and with Dr. Dickinson (who is the Chief Officer of Examinations of NCSBN) and again, for Angelica, the NCSBN conference has been "professionally gratifying". According to her, it humbles her to know the "in and outs" of this exam as an educator. She is happy to be there and it inspired her more to be a part and do something about raising the bar of Nursing education to the next level.
